My beloved father passed away in the spring of 2003, just short of his 77th birthday. This page is his little corner of immortality. He was a quiet man with a big heart who worked extremely hard all his life to make life for my mom and myself as good as possible. Although I didn't see him very often during the past 30 years (I live in Vancouver, my parents in Switzerland), he will always be remembered with love and respect. He loved to travel - may his last big journey be a joyful one.
In Memoriam - Helen Olga Studer
1926 - 2024
My dear mother has followed her beloved husband in the summer of 2024, just short of her 98th birthday.
She was a devoted wife and mother; in her quiet way she had many talents and strengths and a curious mind, which she mostly chose to keep to herself, among them writing a novel (just for the fun of it!), learning Latin, playing keyboard, and a keen interest in astronomy. Sadly, that mind succumbed to dementia during the last years of her life, although she still managed to solve her beloved daily crossword puzzle.
Together again
"When we come to the edge of all the light we have,
And take that step into the darkness of the unknown
We must believe that one of two things will happen.
There will be something solid for us to stand on,
or we will be taught how to fly."
